A strong visual experience with opportunities hidden inside the journey.

Creative Kids Lab already had a colourful, engaging ecommerce website, strong product imagery and a familiar shopping structure. The challenge was not simply to make it look different.

The review examined how effectively the experience supported both customers who knew what they wanted and customers still discovering the right product. It also identified where scrolling, duplicated information, weak calls to action or extra interactions could interrupt the path to purchase.

Experience score logic

Strong visual confidence still needed clearer action.

The score is not a beauty mark. It is built from six areas, so a business can see where the experience is strong and where customer momentum is being lost.

CURRENT EXPERIENCE INDICATOR67/100Good foundations, avoidable friction

Creative Kids Lab had strong product appeal and brand energy, but the buying path relied on customer exploration.

What this means

The visual experience created confidence, but action priority, mobile movement and product progression reduced the overall score. The recommendation was not to make it prettier. It was to make the next useful action clearer.

Public case study scores are indicative and simplified. Client-level scoring, evidence and full recommendations remain in the sample report.

What we discovered

Strong foundations.
Interrupted momentum.

The value came from connecting individual observations into a small number of experience-level themes.

01

Information competed with action

Large banners and content-heavy sections created visual interest but sometimes delayed access to products and important actions.

02

The sales funnel lacked continuity

The homepage provided several browsing opportunities without consistently guiding customers toward a purchase action.

03

Imagery carried too much responsibility

Strong product photography was not always supported by equally visible Buy, Shop or Personalise actions.

04

Mobile required additional discovery

Single-item sliders, large category treatments and limited quick-buy actions increased scrolling and reliance on customer exploration.

05

Navigation contained duplication

Brand links, category routes and repeated descriptions created longer pages and additional movement between destinations.

06

Personalisation introduced avoidable steps

The interaction required additional selection and confirmation where a clearer, persistent input could reduce page movement.

Design response

Turn findings into
visible direction.

The review did not stop at identifying problems. It translated the evidence into specific structural and interaction recommendations.

01

Compact the header

Rebalance logo, navigation, search and contact actions so customers can move quickly without an oversized entry area.

02

Strengthen the sales path

Use clearer, more immediate calls to action and maintain momentum between discovery sections and products.

03

Design mobile deliberately

Reduce oversized content, expose multiple products and make purchasing actions available without hover behaviour.

04

Simplify connected journeys

Consolidate overlapping brand, category, loyalty and shipping content while improving personalisation interactions.

Creative Kids Lab sample review report cover

An independent roadmap, not change for its own sake.

The review gave Creative Kids Lab a page-by-page assessment, a prioritised set of opportunities and example interface directions that could guide future improvement. Selected recommendations were implemented; the engagement was not a full rebuild and no conversion uplift was formally measured.

That distinction matters. Less Friction Digital separates observed evidence, assumptions requiring analytics and recommended design responses so businesses can decide what to act on with confidence.
